Same sub-album hanging from two different albums
Hello,
I would like to know if I can do one thing inside the Piwigo.
I have 4 main albums shared with different people.
I would like a sub-album of one of them to hang on another main album as well. This sub-album, in turn, has other albums hanging from it.
My albums are physically placed in folders and Piwigo creates his albums from them.
I wouldn't want to have duplicate photos to generate the album.
Is there a way to do it?

Idea #1
I think you have to manipulate pictures.
From a first album, add to caddie (every pictures from this album). Then go to Admin > BatchManager. Ask for selected pictures in the caddie to be added in an existing (or a new) second album. This second album can be moved in another one.
The problem is that if one day you add a picture in the first album, in order to make it visible in the second album, you will have to add it to the second album too.
Idea #2
Another automated solution relies on extension SmartAlbums https://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=544
Notice that smartAlbums are automaticly updated:
- according to plugin settings > configuration, or
- whenever you save again one smartAlbum settings.
Right now, this plugin is not marked as available with piwigo 11, but looks like it is actually fine with it. So wait for it, or download it.
