First, Piwigo is great photo sharing web software. So impressed with its continual community development and support, as well as, accessible to anyone who has knowledge of website building.

I searched the forum and cannot find a previous post that discusses this specific request (although there are similar ones). Apologies in advance if my search was ineffective.

Request: Album thumbnails refresh periodically without user intervention

I like that Piwigo gives the user the ability to refresh album thumbnails via the  Photos by Genre › Edit album [Properties].

Building on this album refresh feature is to give administrators the option to perform a refresh without user intervention each time.

I can imagine this might be done via a checkbox in the Admin GUI that implements code that accomplishes either of the following.

1. Perform a refresh of a randomly selected photo in an album after x number of days

2. Perform a refresh of a randomly selected photo in an album after each x number of user browser page refreshes or visits.
