How to show photos as this?

Hi,
I am running a trial at Piwigo official website with theme Bootstrap Default, and the photos can be displayed like this:
https://photos.smugmug.com/Others/i-HPP3SMF/0/35f23e77/XL/Snipaste_2021-07-08_16-53-05-XL.jpg
And then I install Piwigo on my own server with the theme Bootstrap Darkroom, the photos displaed like this:
https://photos.smugmug.com/Others/i-8rq9WZP/0/5e29f153/XL/Snipaste_2021-07-08_16-53-15-XL.jpg
The photos are cropped with fixed wideth and height.

So I download the theme Bootstrap Default and active it, but the photos still displayed like the first one. I dont know why and think maybe there is some parameter to adjust it.

How can I set to let the photos show like the first one?

  Thanks

Re: How to show photos as this?

I am using gdThumb now, it can make it.
But I wander if there is some native solution rather than using plugin?

Re: How to show photos as this?

Hello,
Gdthumb does nos seem to be compliant with BootStrap darkroom. It's OK with Bootsrap default. It's the plugin that makes this kind of display, it's not native in any Piwigo theme.

Re: How to show photos as this?

Thank your for the reply.

By the way, I notice there are about 140 themes in the Piwigo Extensions, and about 70 themes can be add in the Piwigo administration panel. And I cannot find the button to install other themes, so I download the zip file and FTP to my website then upzip it. Looks it works. But is that the right way to add new themes which not list in the administration area?
