I was curious if there was a plug-in or something that would give unique hits to your site. I can go to my host and get that, but it seems it would be easier to be able to see it everytime I go to my site

What do you define as unique hits? IPs on pages?
However, there's [extension by grum] AStat, you may want to use it along with [extension by Eric] Prune History and limit the history to a sensible amount of days in its Automatic Prune.

I guess I shouldn't really have stated unique. I would consider it 2 hits if someone came 2 or 3 times a day. Just a real basic counter so I know how much traffic I am getting. I could go to my server and check, but it would be easier to just have it showing on my site when I go there

I looked at that. For yesterday it shows 7144. So is that visitors or is that the number of pages that were visited. If it's visitors, I'm getting more traffic than I thought

It's pages visited, and it says so if you hover over the graph's line.
