Admin -> Albums -> Move, hover mouse over album, click Apply automatic sort order, pick your choice.

I've just installed Piwigo on shared hosting with a new provider and found this thread.

While the solution above works to update the order of albums, is there any way to set this as a default so you don't need to keep doing it?

As a new setup I'm about to add hundreds of new albums to this site over the next week or two, and having to do this every time I'm done for the day is less than ideal or efficient.

Once you apply an automatic sort order and include sub-albums, why is that not remembered for all new albums created moving forward?
