Is there any trick to new album creation on login of newuser?

I had a user hit my website.
I would expect an album to be developed with userid as key... No such luck.
I've now enabled both check boxes regarding sub albums. I'll look for an adjustment next time.
Is that feature enabled on upload photo's  for new users ?

Any trick to it? Or does it just not work ?
