Duplicates finder plugin idea
Hello everybody,
it would be great if it could be integrated in Piwigo or in a plugin a software to scan for image duplicates (their content, not the name). Options of programs:
- czkawka
- dupeGuru
- rmlink
- findimagedupes
Otherwise, another complementary option might be to use ExifTool to look for images shot in the exact same moment and make the user compare them.

+1 for a plugin
piwigo does not extract lots of data from the shot: only 4 fields are extracted at all
using only date taken is risky, and also some people remove exif information before uploading
in the past i used a home made solution in php by simply calculating the hash of the thumbnails
that does not help for "similar" pictures if that's your goal.
