Admin (with PHP8) no control plugins and views?

I still have an issue with the control of plugins with PHP8.

For some reason I am not able to delete or uninstall them.
Manually deleting them will result in broken database.
Also the layout change is not working, I am now stuck in Line View and I'm not able to get back to Classic.
The same for selecting the view for All, Activated, Deactivated and Other is not working...
I tried deleting cookies and also tried Firefox and Chrome, so I only can think of PHP8 what is causing this.
Was hoping that Piwigo was moving to PHP8 compatible .. but I guess it's still a long road.

I also guess this is the same issue why I do not see Templates under configuration, even though I enabled it in the config ($conf['show_template_in_side_menu'] = true;)

Piwigo 12.2.0
Operating system: Linux
PHP: 8.0.8 (Show info) [2022-05-10 11:38:04]
MySQL: 8.0.29-0ubuntu0.21.10.2 [2022-05-10 11:38:04]
Graphics Library: External ImageMagick 6.9.11-60

Re: Admin (with PHP8) no control plugins and views?

Hello
•Do you not see in piwigo or in phpmyadmin (piwigo_plugins) ?
Try add plugins manual in phpmyadmin

•With php8 in phpmyadmin is different, there is a configuration to force backward retrocompatibility ( caching_sha2_password). which version ? And I test it

Regards

Re: Admin (with PHP8) no control plugins and views?

Okay ... I fixed it with removing the admin folder and copied from the source and set correct access attributes. But now I wonder if something is writing to the admin folder, I though I had read something about it where there files had incorrect promessions. And that this is causing the problem?

I also wonder if I could copy the admin folder from github, or is this only for the latest version (13 beta?).

Re: Admin (with PHP8) no control plugins and views?

You can download the release archive from https://piwigo.org/get-piwigo and extract files. After the installation nothing gets written to the admin/ directory except when doing an update. Directories written to are local/, upload/, _data/, and plugins/ when installing or removing plugins.

What I means I leave all folder in place except the admin folder and get that one (admin folder) from github...
