Hi :-)

After RC1 and RC2, 1.4.0 Release Candidate 3 is out ! Minor bugfixes and minor features added, mainly :

- ability to add users from administration panel

- display information after metadata synchronization

All bug fixes are detailed in the first post of topic PhpWebGallery development snapshots.

- downloads page
- demo
- development tests and qualification to submit bugs

To upgrade a 1.4.0RC2 to 1.4.0RC3, no database changes needed, so you only have to overwrite PhpWebGallery files with new ones, the important is to save include/mysql.inc.php and your directory galleries. To be more precise, modified files are listed below :

Great, this is a big step forwards :)

I like the new feature to make users in the admin module.
The logs stay clean at the first look.
The speed is good.

The next days, i will test some more tings of PWG.

Is there an actual set release date for Branch 1.4 yet or is it still undecided?

Knowing the very few bugs that remains in release 1.4.0RC3, there will be no 1.4.0RC4 and 1.4.0 should be available in the next days. I could release 1.4.0 today but the "problem" is that with new releases come new users, a lot of support and I'm in hollyday from February, 25th until March 7th. I though it would be better to release 1.4.0 after my vacations !

What I can promise is that template system won't change, language items neither, database schema neither. You can already consider 1.4.0RC3 as ready for "stable" branch, but this is not official until 1.4.0.

Yes it does, and thank you very much for answering so quickly. Unfortunately becuase of my school firewall, I cannot upload the new files to my gallery yet but thats right at the top of my list for tonight. Thanks z0rglub!

no, it won't be added for release 1.4.0 but I'll work on it on BSF branch and it should be present in 1.5 branch.
