Open Map plugin map displaced and too small
Hello all,
I am preparing to switch over my Menalto Gallery to Piwigo, and it is virtually ready to go, except for a glitch with the map from my open map plugin on images where I am now using GPS coordinates. The map in the right panel (and below the image where the viewport is smaller) is
1) displaced in its frame, and
2) the frame is too narrow ideally I'd like it square).

Although there are only a couple of hundred photos using GPS at the moment, this will be the norm in future, so I really need to sort this out. Any ideas where I am going astray?

Hello !
With the Modus theme, you will always meet this kind of look, since the map is displayed on the right side of the photo, there is not so much room for it and it is in a cell of a table ... (except on smaller screens where the photo informations go beyond)
I tried with much difficulties to modify the Modus files so that the map is always beyond and wider, look here : https://dardennes.revestou.fr/picture?/ … /dardennes
But the map is not centered.
I just updated my other site styled with Modus, and as it will take me a full day to modify the Modus in the way I want, the map is still ridiculously small at bottom of photo page. Work is in progress ...

It seems to be easier with the bootstrap Darkroom theme, even if I had to do many modifications too . Look here :

Hi Katryne,
I really like the way you've created your sites, you've made some interesting modifications that have certainly given me a few ideas! Changing the navigation icons is a marked improvement.
I do find that the map itself is quite unstable when you try to manipulate it, but why it is so displaced on my modus version I don't know. I'm encouraged by your success in getting the map to load cleanly on page load without being partially out of frame as in my case. I can't expect users to reload a page to get a proper version! I was hoping to modify the theme as little as possible, but it appears I'll have to get into the TPLs and CSS to get what I want. At least Piwigo works better than Gallery on a mobile phone...
And congratulations on your sites, fascinating subject matter!

Today i answered the old issue on Github with exaclty the same problem:

I hope the developer will take it into account and make a fix.

Glad to know I'm not alone! I posted this response in GitHub to clarify my current situation (still not fixed):
"Yes, I've been having exactly this issue since the end of 2022, but have as yet not found a solution. Currently the map appears OK and with pin centred on my iPhone, but on the desktop it appears as shown above, displaced but with a narrower map. However, if I resize the window in any way the map appears correctly with the pin centred. If I reload this corrected page, once again the map and pin is displaced as earlier. As before, a slight resize of the window (Chrome or Edge) produces the correct version. So it's a common experience."
