Re-install Piwigo

Hello!

I am a long time user of Piwigo, which is running on my own web server.
Over the years Piwigo has started to slowly break down - some features are no longer working properly - and I would like to re-install Piwigo from scratch hoping this will fix most if not all these issues. Of course I would also like to keep my existing setup (I have over 15.000 pics in 200+ galleries) otherwise it would be too easy :)
Is there a simple way to do so?

Thanks for any help you could provide!

Re: Re-install Piwigo

You can just unzip the release package over the existing installation. But I doubt that would cure brokenness unless you modified files or ran an outdated version, in which case also take a look at https://piwigo.org/guides/update/manual . It's probably rather that plugins are outdated or ceased to work with PHP 8 or newer if you use such.

Re: Re-install Piwigo

Thanks, I'll give this a try.

I am having all sort of issues with Piwigo - unable to modify users, users getting php error message when trying to reset password, php error message on picture pages with most of the themes...

Re: Re-install Piwigo

If the messages are just warnings/notices/deprecates and not errors then you can suppress them or rather log to file instead.
See [Forum, post 183126 by erAck in topic 31852] Menubar tags issue after 12.2.0 upgrade.
