Hi,
I deleted from Piwigo UI an album which has 515 photos.
Success from piwigo point of view
next synchronisation ... 515 photos will be added.
The directory of the album and all photos in this directory were not deleted.
The apache2 process runs under www-data user
All the directories tree under piwigo belong to www-data.www-data
Is this a normal behavior so it means it is needed to manualy delete the directory?
Thank you
Phil

It's long ago that I used physical directory albums, but AFAIR Piwigo never alters those nor their content. To permanently delete, remove the album directory on disk and then sync again.

Hi @erAck,
Thank you for your answer.
Before doing that, I wanted to be sure, this is not a bug.
seems not, strange from my point of view, delete an album but in fact it is not really deleted, just not seen anymore by piwigo,
but ok
I will do
Thanks again
Phil

I use physical folders only and am pretty sure I've used "delete" to remove photos from Piwigo and they're also removed from the disk. I can't say I've done a full album delete lately, though. I could try in my beta site which is running 14.0RC1.

I confirm, photos and folders are not deleted from disk when deleting album. Tried 13.8.0 and 14.0RC1.

Ok, yeah, I see that now. Deleting the album from Piwigo doesn't remove the physical folder. I guess I must normally be deleting the physical folder myself and then it's removed from Piwigo during my next synchronization.

Makes sense to me. Either I take care of my folders / files myself in my (physical) structure or I let Piwigo do the job (virtual).
