Advanced Menu Manager "not active"

Hello,

After adding the Advanced Menu Manager plugin, I am getting an error message when I try to activate it.

Upon activating it, I get a message that says, "an error ocurred" and nothing else. After this, it does show up in my list of activated plugins, however, when I click "Settings," I then get the following message:
"Invalid URL - plugin AMenuManager not active." So I don't think the activation is actually working.

I have successfully activated other plugins.

Thank you!
