Hi,
I'm new to Piwigo and testing it out. Have a fresh 15.4.0 installation on my own Linux box.
I've added some directories with pictures to galleries folder and used "quick local synchronization" to add them to Piwigo without any error messages. I can see the albums and pictures in the frontend.
But when I try to move these albums in the backend it doesn't work. It doesn't work via drag&drop nor selecting "Parent album" in each albums edit menu. I can drag them above another album but if I release nothing happens. I can select the new parent album in edit menu and click "save settings", get a success message but after F5 the old root album is still there. Changing the sort order of albums inside the same parent album works though.
It works with albums that are created manually in the backend. I can move these around like expected.
Couldn't find anything in the documentation that imported albums are special, so is this a "feature" or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help and time!

When you're using physical albums (i.e., via synchronization) you can't move them around in the admin console of Piwigo like it sounds like you're trying to do. You can physically move them in at the OS-level in the galleries folder, but then during your next sync, Piwigo will "remove" all the photos from the old location and add them new to the new location and you'll lose any metadata in the Piwigo database.
Check out my [extension by windracer] Physical Photo Move extension, I think it might be what you're looking for.
