Hello,
Reading through the forum, it seems people have been requesting that Piwigo be able to read XMP files for many years, and Photoshop is certainly used by many photographers with the result that much of the metadata of their images is embedded using XMP.  The Read Metadata extension does not show any entry under XMP, although Photoshop and Meta Data Lab show it's there.

I'm trying to get the original file creation date (existing in XMP but currently not shown in Piwigo) for the purposes of ordering my images, so adding this capability (above my pay grade!) would save a great deal of time in correctly ordering my photos.
