Hello/Hi/Greetings,
Can't auto-update like I used to in the past and would rather not manually update unless I have to... Is manual required for 16.1?
If not, and in case is related to my previous problem I deactivated the plugins and still don't have the auto-update option like I've had before..

I was able to run automatic updates from 16.0.0 to 16.1.0 on both my setups (including the PHP 7.4 one) so manual update is definitely not required. I just had to click the button on the bottom corner of the screen at "/admin.php?page=updates" (Tools > Updates on the menu).
For some reason I was initially not expecting the button to be where it was so it took me a moment but I am not sure what you are seeing on your install.

Aha! I have a big screen and the button move to bottom right was not seen earlier. Thanks again!

I had the same problem I only saw the button at the top that downloaded the update. Now I can see the button at the bottom right thanks.
