iOS App -> community plugin -> upload permission

Hi,

I've installed piwigo with community plugin. That works fine on desktop, especially the upload permission for users with status "Generic" (upload, but no editing or profile).

Now I'm wondering, why there's no upload in the iOS app for users with status "Generic".

Upload shows up only on next permission level – "Basic".

Thanks.

Re: iOS App -> community plugin -> upload permission

Hi @Blub,

A "Generic" user cannot upload photos as explained here.

Did you configure the upload access rights of the "Generic" user with the Community plugin? with low or high trust? to a specific album or the whole gallery? After the configuration, did you reload album data by pulling the root album down so that the iOS app retrieves the new user access rights?

All the best

Re: iOS App -> community plugin -> upload permission

Hi @cryopad,

thanks for your support.

>> Did you configure the upload access rights of the "Generic" user with the Community plugin?
Yes

>> with low or high trust?
hight trust

>> to a specific album or the whole gallery?
whole gallery

>> After the configuration, did you reload album data by pulling the root album down so that the iOS app retrieves the new user access rights?
Yes. I've even reinstalled the app and purged several actions and cache.

The upload with the Android app (Piwigo NG) works.

By the way, there's also an issue with "adding albums":
With my configuration, there should be no button / possibility to add an album.
This is fine on desktop, but not on mobile (both iOS and Android): there are buttons for "adding albums", but they throw errors after using.

Thanks.

Re: iOS App -> community plugin -> upload permission

Hi @Blub,

I could reproduce the issue with a 'generic' user having upload rights set in the Community settings. This will be fixed in the next version of the app as shown here: [Github] Piwigo-Mobile issue #643

As for the [Create Album] button, we will correct the mobile apps as soon as the API provides a way to determine whether the user can create albums: [Github] Piwigo-Mobile issue #644

Kind regards
