Hi gregbosen,
I'm testing/reviewing your [extension by gregbosen] PDF Cover page
The idea is absolutely great. It works fine. The UI is very well integrated into Piwigo administration pages (looks like core pages). I love the Gitlab repo : it's much better than "no repo" and it changes from Github, even if Piwigo.org Extension Manage is not designed to handle anything else than Github and we may have to improve that.
I don't understand what the OCR does for now.
One small thing could be improved: the admin page is slow to load. It is understandable considering what it does (generating up to 10 previews). I would recommend you load the page instantely with no preview and use an Ajax call to request the previews (with the appropriate spinner/loader).

I would also like to add: you say you're using Claude to code your plugin. I must admit the code/UI generated is very good. Well done. This is AI done right!

and one question: you released your plugin under GPLv3 license. I wonder if that's compatible with Piwigo license GPLv2. I don't have the answer. [... 20 seconds later...] Mistral AI tells me you can release a Piwigo plugin under GPLv3. So that's fine.
Does GPLv3 means I can't deploy the plugin on Piwigo Cloud (paid subscription) for example?

I like the idea of Ajax loading the thumbnails. It destroys the extra thumbnails after you leave the page. I didn't figure you would visit it many times for the same PDF. But I see the value in getting to the page quick.
I used the `skeleton` plugin to train Claude on how extensions should be. So that was a great addition.
I really don't care what license this is under. I'll release new version under GPLV2.
Thanks for the quick feedback. I have like 4 more plugins to get ready for release. I'm super excited with how adaptable piwigo is for extension/modification. I have several library/history projects this will work well for.
