in your template directory (for example template/square/light) place a picture named "background.gif". It will appear automatically.

For your other question, I know some people did it but I can't find there site back... sorry

I uploaded a background.gif file to appear in the background of the template. It worked fine. But when I delete the file with ftp and replace it with another picture using the same name background.gif... the same background appears (the first background I uploaded).

I know the deletion works because I delete it and the background appears as a solid color again (as it was in the original template) BUT when I upload another pic under the name background.gif, it shows the background I've already deleted and want to replace! ??

now that is slick...worked perfect

Now I need to figure out how  to add my club logo
and back button.
