pLoader

Hello,

I've downloaded and installed the v 2.0.0 of piwigo and pLoader but when I load a photo from pLoader, I've the warning "upload cancelled". Why ?

I search into system rights but nothing. Have you any idea ?

Thank for all.

Loïc

Re: pLoader

- What is the weight of your photos?
- Did you check the "Upload High" option in the "Global Settings" view?

Re: pLoader

I tried with 800 ko~1Mo photos.
I can upload them with classic method (i changed config file) but not with pLoader.
I tried with and without "upload high" option.

Re: pLoader

To complete precedent post :
when I upload a photo, there is a function "Preparing resized image ...." and process is cancelled when function "upload" seems to begin.
These first function appears just 1 time.

Re: pLoader

Hello,

No idea about my problem :( ?
Is there a mode (a debugger / a logger) to view what append when we upload a photo under WinXP OS ?

Thank you for your answers.

Re: pLoader

- Can you provide a photo that can't be transfered with pLoader?

- What is the content of the directory: "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\.pLoader" ? (replace "<user>" with you Microsoft Windows login)

- on Piwigo side, does the directory "upload" exists?

- on Piwigo side, what is the right access for directory "upload"?

- on Piwigo side, what is the directory tree under "upload" directory ?

Re: pLoader

Hello plg,

Photos are bigger than 512 ko but I can put them on Piwigo with a classic upload.
Here are the screenshots you want (I'm not sure that they are linked to this message)
In the subdirectories of %userprofile%\.ploader I have the thumbnails ... no problem here.
But I didn't find upload dir !
I made a directory under Linux with webuser 755 rights access, but nothing change.
Is these new action written somewhere ? I didn't see anywhere.

Merci !

Loïc

This instruction is written in your Piwigo : Administration > Links > Instructions > Add photos, the pLoader way

1. Create a directory "upload" next to directory "galleries" in your Piwigo installation, with write access.

Unfortunately, the image upload doesn't work on the forum, I'm investigating but it is very strange.

Re: pLoader

To avoid any misunderstanding, can you confirm you are using Piwigo 2.0.0 and pLoader 2.0.0a on Windows? (because Piwigo 2.0.0 + pLoader 2.0.0RC4 for Linux won't work)

Re: pLoader

Plg,

I confirm, I'm using Piwigo 2.0.0 under a Linux OS and pLoader 2.0.0a on Windows.
I'm sorry about these instruction ... I didn't see it.
But with an "upload" directory at the same level as "galleries" directory : I've the same result (same result too with upload rights set to 777).

Re: pLoader

Hello,

After some testing, I've noticed that ploader worked fine with little photos but not with big.
I've configured my Linux to accept upload (with piwigo classic upload method) of big photos which works fine with http://www.marrot.org/piwigo/IMG_5156.JPG but ploader cancel upload of this photo.

However, upload of the same photo in 800x600 (generated by ploader upload process) works fine with ploader http://www.marrot.org/piwigo/IMG_5156_800x600.jpg
Have you got the same result ? Why ?

Thank for your answers.

Re: pLoader

Download pLoader 2.0.0b for Windows. Can you check if the transfer still fails with your photo?

Re: pLoader

I've uploded your photo with 2.0.0a and 2.0.0b. It may be a timeout issue with your piwigo server.

Re: pLoader

Same behaviour with 2.0.0b, I've tried with 2 other photos (first big and the second - reduced from the first - from the ".ploader/resize" directory on windows).
I can put on to the piwigo server the little photo, with pLoader 2.0.0b, not the big.
