Hello Andrew,

Can you create a topic in the forum http://piwigo.org/forum?

This discussion may certainly be interesting outside Piwigo team :-)

I hope to read you soon on Piwigo forum!

Bye

Hi Andrew

Gallery is a challenger of us. What do you mean by doing a plug-in for G3? Do you mean adapt the code of the calendar into G3 ?

I read it like you (and I didn't want to look Gallery 3 code at all, just to keep Piwigo as much original we can).

Re: Mini-Piwigo plug-in for Gallery 3?

Ah!  I was tricked into posting here then! :-)

I also come from a starting point of naivety about Piwigo and what it is.  You see I had been using Coppermine for years on my personal blog and got tired of the difficult update procedure (for there were always, so it seemed, another security fix to apply).  I had been hunting for a replacement when I stumbled onto Gallery.  I've been waiting patiently while they get Gallery3 out of Alpha (still waiting).

So...I have now installed Piwigo to give it a whirl.  I'll probably install Gallery3 on a different site that I manage; just to compare the two.

Must say that its nice to have a bit of one-up-manship to keep tools getting better and better.

Please forgive me if I wandered into a hornet's nest....

We are interested in your conclusions...
You are welcome to come back in all case.

And maybe someone else can be interrested in conclusions and then could build a plugin for interact both galleries.
(But not us... for reasons above).

Thanks for coming back.
