Hello :-)
I just notice with the default install the photos are available with direct links:
for example the image http://dodin.org/piwigo/galleries/1990- … 02-007.jpg is visible and should not.
What must I insert in .htaccess or <Directory> for forgive such access without disturbing piwigo working?
thanks

Have you checked about an extension? There might be something.

I hope there is a solution :-)
in .htaccess:
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
don't allow displaying of images is piwigo (when pmwiki works perfectly with this in his data dir!)
still searching

Well, too bad the two plugins aimed to this protection don't works. Secure image seems to be no more available and hot blocker don't write anything to the galleries folder (it writes to thumbnail, though)
I don't mind of RSS! I just don't want private images to be too easy to dl by anybody. most modern images are named sequencially, so knowing the name of one images makes it pretty easy to find others...

Have not tested, but I think that PLoader renames the pictures in such a way that it is impossible to guess; did you give it a try?

random header only disallow direct link to your pictures from other sites
(and it writes only 1 .htaccess to ./galleries/ dir and 1 for each thumbnail dir)
i though secure image was the solution for what you need ... but tosca idea about pLoader seems good too ;)

I had no .htaccess in y galleries folder :-(
changing names makes it very difficult also for me to anage the gallery :-(
I will try to find secure image source (I can't find it in the extensions list)
thanks

Just had to type "secure" in the filter on the extensions page, and got it:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Template::assign_var() in /data/srv/www/htdocs/piwigo/plugins/secureImages/administration.php on line 88
error sent by secure images
shame, because this plugins (given the description) do exactly what I hope :-)

yes, I know, but it's *not* in the plugin list of piwigo, the last version is two years old and in fact it don't seems to work anymore :-(
last quoted version of piwigo in the plugin revision: 1.7, we are more than 2.0 :-(
hope there is a solution :-)

(NB: manual install gave error)
