Is there a difference between the beta plugin and the release one?
The official release provides an intelligent handling of the situation when the Piwigo installation is missing the extension for handling "simple" photo uploads. Other than that, there is no further changes.
Please keep me informed if you notice any issues.
Happy New Year everyone!

Here is a translation from a user is asking his question in French:
I have a problem. I have the following message when I click on "login":
"There is something wrong in CryptProtectData"
Username and password are correct because when I change them, I have the correct "invalid password" message.
Has anybody already encountered this issue?

I would suggest re-entering the username and password to see if that fixes the issue.

Hello alloyphoto,
Firstly thank you for your work. I hope for a such plugin since a long time.
Secondly thanks to PLG who translate my problem ("There is something wrong in CryptProtectData").
I've just try to re-enter my user name and password and it still doesn't work.
Do you have another idea ?

Please submit your debug log as explained here: http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/support-a … eshooting/
I am hoping the debug log would show me what's happening inside and help us solve the issue.

I reviewed the log file. You appear to run Lightroom 3.0 and I believe the issue has something to do with that. Version 3.0 had several internal issues, and this could be one of them. I suggest upgrading Lightroom to version 3.3 and see if the issue persists.

I've updated my lightroom to V3.3
There is always the same message when I try to login
I'v just send to you the new debug log

I've done some further research on this problem, and it appears there might be an issue with your Windows installation. CryptProtectData is a Windows API function, which is used by Lightroom internally to encrypt and decrypt stored passwords. Lightroom on your computer is getting the error on the core level from the system API call. This takes place well beyond my plug-in's scope. I am afraid I am not going to be able to provide much help here :(
I have noticed you are running Windows XP SP2, you can try installing SP3, however I don't know if this is going to help.
Sorry, I truly wish I could help...

Hi alloyphoto,
When I move in album in a albums set, the change is not carried out in Piwigo.
Can that be possible in a future version?

Hi alloyphoto,
When a publication occurs badly (i.e. in the event of problem) the error message arrives only at the end of the process.
Why not make the tests of validation before converting the pictures and trying to send it?

How remove the "instantaneous" ?
(After supression the file in Piwigo Export Service and remove all "instantaneous" from module developpement on one clic)

Uncheck the option "Create develop snapshots on Publish"

What does the error say? In many cases a "potential" error cannot be detected in advance.

The plug-in is supposed to propagate the update once you re-parent and album. I'll have to test this and see if there is a bug.
