I installed Piwigo today and it all seemed to have gone fine. I uploaded some photos, and I've got an issue now. When I go to the actual website address:
http://rebecca-janephotography.co.uk/photos/
All I get is the admin panel sort of screen, with my pictures and categories listed, but some pictures with the Red X not displaying, and nowhere to seemingly find the actual galleries as users will see them. Am I doing it wrong, or has it not installed correctly or something?
Thanks.
Hi chrislister42,
There seems to be a permission problem. CSS stylesheets are not readable :
You don't have permission to access /photos/themes/default/theme.css
on this server.
Can you make sure you didn't modify access rights the wrong way?

Don't mean to sound an idiot....but how do I do that? I've not really modified anything on the site I don't think, just installed it as is, and it's all gone so wrong :( I'm a bit new to all this stuff.
By FTP you can chanhe CHMOD
(right clic and change File Attributes)

I changed the CHMOD for the folder (/photos/) to 777. Is this right? It's still not doing anything, so I think it may be a different problem.
You must change folder 'theme' and subdirectory

I have no folder called 'theme' or anything. I have changed the values of literally everything I can find to '777', and it still looks exactly the same as before. Could anything else be the problem?
Wait I get what you mean now. I shall try that and report back.
Okay, that's working, now another question. Is there any way to CHMOD the whole site at once? At the moment I'm having to literally go through every folder and subfolder and every file to get it all to read correctly, and it would take hours. I'm using Fetch on OSX.
I changed every single file I can find to 777, and folders and all. The website still doesn't look right. Is that how it's meant to look?
It's ok now ?

Yeah there was other stuff I hadn't 777'd yet. It's working now, thanks a lot.
