Re: users can't opload photos ?

1/ For create physical categories you can connect with FTP

And in folder galleries you create a folder

Next you must Synchronize (Administration -> Tools -> Synchronize)

2/ to authorize upload

Administration -> Configuration -> Synchronize -> Options -> tab 'Upload'

Your server isn't set to handle exif

You're local? ? (You must activate the extension php -> php_exif)

If you're not local I will tell you what to do

Re: users can't opload photos ?

did you follow what ddtddt said?

I went through this yesterday.  Non admin users cannot upload images into virtual categories ie the ones you create through the admin web interface.  Users can only upload images to PHYSICAL categories, these categories are actual folders that you create in the piwigo_base/galleries/ directory.

If you go to the admin panel and click the add photos option and look at the ftp+synchronization tab it will explain to you the structure of the required directories ie images, thumbnails, hd etc.

With these directories added and images in place you can goto the main panel and click sync.  This will create the physical gallery.  You can then use the admin panel to add this gallery to the authorized for upload pane.

Re: users can't opload photos ?

You have no physical category ;-)

1 / or you create a physical category via FTP in folder galleries ans you can permit upload by user

2/ or you wait a few days Piwigo 2.2 or the new feature will upload in the category that you

physical category must be in folder   /galleries/  , right?

if so, that there is a folder new_gallery in folder galleries, but I can't see it from admin panel
