Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

Version 1.3.2 is available for download: http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/piwigo

In this update:

* Fixed the "attempt to index local 'exportSettings' (a nil value)" and "attempt to index local 'settings' (a nil value)" errors when re-parenting Piwigo collections

* Fixed the "Access denied" when the Piwigo URL contains uppercase characters

* Now when you attempt to move a private album you'll get a comprehensive error message

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

I just tried this version and moving a private album seems to work.

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

Here's a problem I just discovered.

Suppose you have two albums (Album1 and Album2) published with the same photo in it.
The photo will only exist once on Piwigo. This is great.

Then, you want to change "Album2" and decide you don't want the photo anymore in this album.
You delete it from the album in Lightroom and publish.

The photo is totally deleted from Piwigo... and is no more in "Album1" where it still should be.

Fixed in the 1.3.3 update. To download, visit http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/piwigo

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

There's something we have noticed with Gotcha, about the performance of the transfers.

On my test gallery with 100-200 photos, export process was very quick.
When exporting to my real gallery with more than 3000 photos, it becomes very slow (the 2 galleries are on the same server).

Do you know what could be the cause of this?
I don't know if it's linked to a performance issue in the export plugin, or to a performance issue in Piwigo...

Maybe it's the test to know if a photo is already in the gallery?

Could you submit your debug log? I am going need to take a look at the timestamps to see what's taking time.

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

I'll submit the log, but it's a very large file... (64 Mo just for yesterday - for about 220 photos published on a gallery with 3000 photos)

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

You don't need to submit such a large log file :)
I made a couple of tweaks and sent a test build to Gotcha - he's testing on a smaller volume. Let's wait for results from him...

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

Hello Vladimir,

I do not see any changes in transfer time.
I do the same test as last time, in the same conditions.
The result does not change :-(

PiwigoExport.log is sent ;-)

Yes but I don't know which information are useful or not in the log file...

I will made a new log file with a smaller transfer (only 2 photos)

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

Hi,

Gotcha send me the 1.3.4 version of the plugin (build 559).
The improvement in transfer speed is impressive.

With version 1.3.3, I needed approximately 1 min by photo, which was very long!
(I have more than 3000 photos in my gallery)

With version 1.3.4, the first image is still slow (approx 1 min) then the other images are transferred in a few seconds.
This is great!

I also have a question about the sort options on each albums.
I'm making tests selecting different sort options and then publishing the albums, I see no difference in the album in piwigo.
It's always the same order online at the end.

What is the expected behavior of this option?

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

Hello everyone,

i've published my photos (round about 4000) at piwigo with this excellent plugin using 5 smart galleries (Rating 1 to 5).
Now, I've created other smart galleries to have galleries grouped by persons.
When I start publishing these galleries, lightroom will create new pictures and upload them.
Is it possible to link already published pics to these new smart galleries without publishing these pics again.
I will create many smart galleries to access to a good hierarchic gallerie structure. But when I have to publish every pic in many galleries many times it takes too long time.

I use piwigo 2.2.1, Lightroom 3.3 and Piwigo Export Plug-In 1.3.3 Build 519.

thank you

Friesian

Re: Lightroom plug-in beta testing - invitation

The feature to synchronize existing albums and photos will be available in the next version of the Piwigo plug-in. Also, publishing to smart collection will work much faster. The new version will be released this week.
Please just be aware that it will require a small registration fee.
