I've read all that's here and it looks like it should be fixed, but I'm not seeing an upload photos for users. I even tried setting "any visitor" to one of the galleries and still no upload button.

I get a little upload form. I'm using stripped.

Hi lisaviolet,

I think you have hidden the "menu" box in the menubar manager. Unfortunately, this is where the "Upload photos" link is displayed.

Yes, with [extension by grum] Advanced Menu Manager you can select which links appears in the "menu" block.
