EXIF info after uploading?
I'm working to get the EXIF extensions loaded on my shared server account (it's not enabled by default), but I want to start getting photos uploaded. Once the EXIF extensions are enabled, is it possible to somehow rescan the photos to extract the info and use the info (e.g., use the calendar function)? Is it as simple as just telling it to rebuild the thumbnails?

Yes, it is as simple as asking to "synchronize metadata" in the Batch Manager :-)

As a follow up (I registered thus the name change). It looks like my hosting CO isn't in a rush to enable the EXIF extensions in php. Is there an alternate way to accomplish this?
