Remember [Forum, topic 17428] Piwigo 2.3 planning ? June 1st 2011 is the day of Piwigo 2.3.0beta1, and it already contains several interesting new features like:

* a new design/ergonomy for the plugin manager (P@t/mistic100)
* Piwigo Auto Upgrade was integrated into core (P@t) as [Administration > Tools > Updates]
* resize thumbnail and websize with the batch manager by P@t
* crop thumbnails (square ratio or any other ratio) by P@t
* ability to use the command line Image Magick tools instead of PHP Imagick or GD libraries by P@t
* replace $user['nb_image_line'] and $user['nb_line_page'] by $user['nb_image_page'] by mistic100
* menubar is visible on all pages (tags, profile, comments) by mistic100
* screen [Administration > Tools > Thumbnails] (for photos added by FTP) now uses Ajax to avoid execution time limit by P@t
