web API : can not create a category
hello,
I have a user,(a webmaster) and I can not find a way to allow him write access to a category I created, through the web API
I created a new private category, and I gave access to my webmaster.
now if the webmaster can add a sub category to this category, using the web interface, via the web API it is impossible; I have this error response,
<?xml version="1.0"?><rsp stat="fail"> <err code="401" msg="Access denied" /></rsp>
I am using jiwigo as a client for the web api.
you can try and reproduce this behavior , my gallery is :

hum, well not exactly.
it did create the category , but by default, it is not visible by anyone, I have to go to the web interface to allow some users (including the creator of the category) to access it

Is that it uses a level of confidenciality adding photos?
What is your host?

To sum up: you can create a sub-album to a private album BUT this sub-album is automatically private and the creator has no access to it.
We're going to fix that bug : at least the creator automatically gets permission to the sub-album.

that s right plg : the user creating the category, should automatically have his group or user added to the groups, or users being authorized to access, this category

do you have a bugtracker with a bug number, for me to follow this issue (the author of a gallery can not access it )
also, would it be possible to enable by default the addSimple piwigo extension ?
