Hello!
Some one please tell me is possible, if yes, then how  to use images already present on server on which Piwigo is installed.

Explaination: I already uploaded 100s of pics on my server before installing Piwigo. Now i want to make albums of those images without downloading them and using them them to create albums, by uploading them one by one??

Hi pankajksharma,

Use screen [Administration > Photos > Batch Manager] to associate several photos to a new album.

Hi,

There is an option to upload photos via ftp, and synchronize in Piwigo. I advice you to look into that.
Your problem is similar. Instead of uploading with ftp, move the photos from one folder to another. Next, perform the synchronize in Piwigo.

Thanks a lot for your such Quick replies!
Well I am quite new with Piwigo! So could you please tell me how I could use Batch Manager?

Or how to perform synchronization? And in which folder should I copy the images??

The Batch Manager is in the admin panel.

Moving the files on the server can be done with your favourite FTP client. (E.g., FileZilla)
Syncing is quite straightforward. Again, see the admin panel.

thx for the answers

As you said, see add->photos->FTP+synchro
The upload form, ploader etc, put the pics in the upload folder and rename the files. However using the synch tool, the name don't change but you will need to create the thumbnails (on local on your computer, or online with the tool Thumbnails) and you can also create Hight def version of your pictures.
