Dear all.
I've found Piwigo to be the thing I'd been looking for for many years.
My dream is to get it installed on my Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 2.
Being a noob I;ve tried every thing I could but I did not succeed.
Once I managed to get over that page where I put that database info, however, after that, instead of information that all is installed and ready to work, I only seen list of installed files.
I've all needed files installed and all requirements are fullfiled.
PLEASE help me as I've already lost 100s of hours by trying in the dark.
And my dream is to get Piwigo running!
hello
you say all requirements is installed but could you tell us what version of apache, php mysql etc
you see an "Index of" with a list of files : is it like http://aldo061.free.fr/ ? If yes do you have an index.php file ? If yes you may need to set index.php as index file with .htaccess/If no, a file is missing

What I can find is:
MySql:
* Server: JEDNAS (Localhost via UNIX socket)
* Server version: 5.0.32-Debian_7etch5
* Protocol version: 10
* User: root@localhost
* MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
Web server:
* Apache
* MySQL client version: mysqlnd 5.0.8-dev - 20102224 - $Revision: 310735 $
* PHP extension: mysqli Documentation
phpMyAdmin
* Version information: 3.4.4deb1
php itself is ver.5
I have file named install.php which starts all the installation process but all goes as described above.
ah ok it restarts the installation
Can you open the config file local/config/database.inc.php ?
Offline
I only have local/config/index.php
And what about the database ? Is it created ?
if yes that migth be a problem of permission of writing

I'm sorry, I did all what I knew, but it's beyond my competences : it's due to the special environment (Netgear)
I have notified someone else but it will be hard to solved
