Piwigomedia for Wordpress

Hi all

I have seen a couple of posts about this, but nothing concrete to solve it.

I can only get the Piwigomedia plugin connected to the demo site, not my own.  When I select my own Piwigo installation, it doesn't return any categories.  If I add the demo site, I get Africa etc..

I am running:

Wordpress 3.3 (blog.laughingwolf.co.uk)
Piwigo 2.3.1 (gallery.laughingwolf.co.uk)

Guest exists on the gallery, but all albums etc are restricted to a group (family) and are marked as private.  Which is where I believe the problem is.

When I add guest to the Family group..I had access to some of my albums (interestingly...not all)

Is there anyway to add user authentication to the plugin?

Thanks

Hi PureLoneWolf, I've notified the developer of PiwigoMedia.

Re: Piwigomedia for Wordpress

Excellent, thank you.  I realise the paradox of having private albums/photos and then publishing them on a blog...but occasionally I decide I need one.

In the meantime, I am going to create a Public album called Blog Pics and that way I can copy images into there for the blog.

Cheers

Do not "copy" the photos, just associate them with your public album "Blog Pics", you don't have to duplicate the photos. Magic Piwigo!

Re: Piwigomedia for Wordpress

Yup...I remembered that when I went to the gallery admin :D

Quick question, can I manage permissions for Virtual Albums like a normal album?  I suspect I am being a dullard, but I can't find any permissions.

It would be nice to create a Virtual Album from, say, some of my family photos and then allow the Friends group to be able to see that Virtual Album (and not have it public).

Thanks again

**EDIT**

Just thought of another feature for the plugin...

When you add to the post, you get full sized or thumbnail.  It would be nice to have a "Medium" sized option too.  I had this for a Gallery2 plugin some time ago.  Medium sized would be 4-600 wide and proportionately scaled for height.

Thanks

Please open another topic, this is absolutely not related to PiwigoMedia and other users may have the same question (with a clear topic title they will find the discussion easier)
