[2.4] multiple size, rebuild cache

Hi rvelices,

I have just tested the new feature to rebuild multiple size cache, added in [Subversion] r12865 and... wow, the average load has jumped to 12 on my dual core computer. 12 is huge (you know it but maybe other reader of this topic don't).

And when it seemed to be finished, the local/i directory was... not filled.

I admit I was wondering how big my multiple size cache would become.

Why do you think this feature is useful?
Are you not afraid it would kill any hosting server?

The "progessive display" was not very understandable on my Firefox 9, I wonder how better it is than the progress bar in Piwigo 2.3 when regenerating thumbnails or websizes.

12 is normal given that thare are continously several concurrent requests for images (probably all your cores are at 100% on your server). We could say max 1 concurrent request (already implemented).
I think it "might" be useful for example if building thumbnails only.
Unless there is a js error, every 3 seconds I show the latest derivative that has been built in a slideshow manner ... DIdn't you have a "slideshow" ?

Re: [2.4] multiple size, rebuild cache

The display was quite strange. The same photo was staying while numbers were increasing, sometimes the photo changed...

Why don't we reuse the same ergonomy as in Piwigo 2.3 for "regenerate web size photos" and "regenerate thumbnails" actions in the Batch Manager? But this time we only need one action rebuild multiple size cache, then we can select one size and start. We have the clean progression bar and that's already very good, don't you think?
