Hi translators,
I just uploaded I new version of the translation tool, with some new features. and I take the opportunity to talk about some "old" features a bit hidden
Well first of all the tool has a definitive name : Lexiglot, and is published under GNU GPL licence (as Piwigo is)
Homepage
You can directly notice that the homepage has changed, it displays full statistics as project and languages sub-page do.
Language/Project sub-pages
If logged as translator you can see a language page (for exemple Afrikaans) a link labelled "Translate another project", which allows you to start the translation of a plugin/theme.
A similar link named "Add a new language" is visible on the page of a project (example).
Please note that the visibility of these links depends of your rights (you can check them on the profile)
Edition page
Now the big feature is on the edition page (example), apart of the new visual there is two icons on the right
to display some (few...) info about the string
to save the string without go to the bottom of the page and validate the whole page.
On the same page there is two usefull links on top right :
"View refenrence file" opens a popup with the english text (usefull for HTML files)
"Send a notification" open a prompt t contact another translator on the same project/language, or admins
Profile
On the profile page (clic on your username to open it), you can specify what languages you speak, this would be usefull for new translators.
General
I've also added a new user status : 'Plugin manager'. Ideally a plugin manager can contact translators, manage his plugins and saving files to the SVN server.
It's still in test.

Very nice and a good job !
But I've just found something wrong with DE translation for UserAdvManager on help.lang.php :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/sys/var/www/piwigo.us/dev/mistic100/translate_prod/include/functions_core.inc.php(48) : eval()'d code on line 143

because there are php errors on the file, don't know if it had been generated by Lexiglot...

I corrected the errors, but you should remove English strings from other languages, otherwise it seems fully translated in Lexiglot

Thx !
I've tryed to remove english strings from DE files but it seems not be possible from the translation tool. I don't know if it's a normal security function but does not matter : I'll remove these strings from SVN.

yeah it's impossible to remove strings that exists in the English files
and generally impossible to remove strings, obsolete strings are automatically removed

I've added a search field on the Edit page, allowing to correct or translate a specific string without read through the tens pages.
Click on the "Search" title to show the form.
It's the first time I write a (mini) search engine, tell me if the results are not satisfying.

Is it reliable tool for translation of technical files?
