Can someone help me towards some documentation or location of parts of the code used to offer the "Favorites" functionality and how the information is stored?

I would like to integrate this in to a flash application (fetch the list of favorites from the flash application to further use it in the flash application itself).

I can't find any obvious includes or files after a first search, so it seems to be hidden in other files. If someone could point me towards the corresponding files, that would help me very much.
