Png transparency on thumbnail creation

Hi everybody, I am a french developper that just discovered Piwigo for a personnal use.

I love the interface and the engine for its profesionalism, but i have just one problem, and i hope that you  will/can help me.

There is the problem :

When the engine generates a thumbnail of a png picture, it tries to apply transparency to the jpg file of the generated thumbnail. The consequence is that the png's thumbnail (in jpg format) has a black/ugly background .

It's not a fatality because nowadays we can easily apply a white background on a jpg file created from a transparent png file.

Can you just tell me wich script is in charge of the creation of thumbnails in order to correct that, and i promess i will share the correction with the team ;)

Thanks and sorry for my english,

Re: Png transparency on thumbnail creation

I have found a solution, but the code is kinda complex (and i'am at work ^^) . If some admin/dev is interested, just ask for it ;)
