[resolved] Timestamp

One of the major features of using a Gallery such as Piwigo is my need to display photos from two or more cameras in the same album.
For example, I have a Canon which creates photos called IMG_1234 and an Olympus with photos called P101nnnn (1st January) to PC31xxxx (31st December).

What I am finding is that the Timestamp is being ignored in Piwigo, especially when sorting by Date Created.  This was especially obvious for my album covering last Christmas and the New Year :-(

Is it possible to sort a Gallery display by Date Photo Taken including Timestamp? The EXIF is available.

The hour:minute:second is not ignored. Can you give a link to the album where the problem occurs?

Re: [resolved] Timestamp

I have just sent an email to support@piwigo.com about my trial site(s).
Can you find my site there?  There is only one bottom level album "Xmas" which illustrates the problem.

Re: [resolved] Timestamp

I don't know what happened on your photos but the h:m:s was missing on the first 15 photos. I have asked for a new metadata synchronization on these 15 photos and now h:m:s is correctly registered in the database (and sort by date should be good).

Did you manullay edit the date of creation?

Your reply rang a bell with me.  I used pLoader and it stopped with the message "upload cancelled" after 17 photos.  I restarted and the rest loaded ok.

Thanks for fixing that, it all looks fine now albeit that "Creation Date" sorts in reverse order (latest first) but I guess 2.4 will fix that!

PS How do I quote in this forum?  I can't get bold to work either in the Preview

Piwigo 2.4 has more sorting options, including "Date created, old → new"

What about the forum email? - mine doesn't show any 'effects'...

Enough of this frippery - back to 2.4 and its XXL sort options!

You mean you don't receive email notification on new posts?

Yes I do.  That's how I saw that none of the 'effects' such as quote and bold appear in the email :-(
