In Admin, go to 'Alums/Manage'. You will see a list of the albums. Pass your mouse over the block containing the name of the album you want to delete, and various options (including 'delete') appear in a second line.

A little more details...
All my sub-albums were generated by synchronization in the physical albums directory. Previous versions, I have the delete option. The 2.4 version, I don't. Even when I delete the album folder on the server and re-sync, the photos were deleted but the menu/category (sub-album) remains. thx

If you create an album in Admin instead of using 'Synchonise', can you delete that.

I have resolved the issue. Did so many things for a simple delete function (sync sub-albums) and I don't even know how I resolved it. it's something in the synchronize feature. I don't think it's a technical issue. It's just how Piwigo was coded and maybe it's intended to be that difficult to figure out.
I'm surprised that not too many experienced the same issue. In any case, Piwigo is awesome. Thx for the great work.

maybe you forgot to uncheck the simulate box, for the synchronization

I believe that's right. Come to think of it, it made sense. If simulation is checked, the changes will not reflect the DB.

Do delete physical albums, delete the corresponding folder in "galleries" via FTP then do a sync
http://piwigo.org/doc/doku.php?id=user_ … management

At the risk of being considered a whiner - Piwigo needs a "Delete Album" action. To not have one is a great inconvenience.
<EDIT> ... one that works on physical albums as well as logical ones.
I am running 2.7.4

I've followed this thread and have tried what it says by nothing I've tried will allow be to delete an album. I've been to the management section in administration. None of the delete buttons work. Is there a bug in this version of Piwigo? I've just don't a fresh install and have added a few albums as a tested. I'd now like to delete them and move on to something permanent.
Thanks for your attention.
I'm using:
