Is it somehow possible to save user-entered information (e.g.: tags) as XMP? I had a look to the Advanced Metadata plugin, it seems capable of adding some metadata, but as I understand it cannot automatically save tags in XMP. Am I right? Is there another way?

The question arise with the idea of exporting photos from Piwigo to another digital asset software: is there another fate for tags than exporting thought database requests and script rototiling?
