Hi, I eventually upgraded to the latest piwigo, but it seems the [lang] tags are ignored in the html menus? How can I resotre these?

Hi styxsailor,

After gallery upgrade, all plugins are disabled to avoid problems before they are updated for the new version of the gallery. Connect your gallery as a webmaster and go to the admin panel to perform a plugin update. Extended Description plugin have to be in the list of upgradable plugins.

When done, re-activate each updated plugin, Extended Description as well.

Another new feature I noticed is the "controller" window that keeps popping up as you log in - any way to disable this? With a tiling window manager this fills the whole screen which is not very nice...

I don't see any popup window. Do you mean it appears only in admin panel ?

If yes, disable the multiview plugin which allows webmasters to switch gallery languages and themes for testing.
