During the installation I just tapped by the mail config part since I havent got it by then. Now I have the information but cant figure out were to put it.

I found it under include\config_default_inc.php
Will try now.

The e-mail settings are in 'include/config_default.inc.php line 254 on.
Alternatively use the 'localfiles editor' and in the local config page add
$conf['mail_sender_name'] = '';
$conf['smtp_host'] = '';
$conf['smtp_user'] = '';
$conf['smtp_password'] = '';
putting the details between the '' marks.

Thanks for fast reply. Is there a way to say that it should use TLS or SSL, when I want to use smtp.gmail.com?

I don't think so - there is no mention of it in the config file.
