I use Astat but two things happen with that make me suspicious, to say the least.
A day after I create a new gallery, Astat shows me that I've had thousands of views on it going back at least to the beginning of the year. How can that be when it didn't exist until yesterday?
The second thing is that I get thousands of hits on all my galleries from ip addresses in China and some other places. I assume these are bots or search engines. With their hits, there is no way to see what real traffic I have. Other than excluding each ip address, which would be a major task, is there a way to block those.
Please tell me if there is something I've done to make these things happen.

Haven't seen the problem with impossible hits, but bots is a problem. I installed History IP Excluder and took some time to look up some of the IP addresses that had a high hit rate. Excluded these:
180.76.%
95.108.246.%
77.88.26.%
66.249.%
77.88.25.%
Can't say that the numbers are 100% now, but it did look better.

thanks. I had suspected bots were at least part of this. I see you've excluded some of the same IP's that I get.
I have IPExcluder, just wish there was a way to not have to guess which should be excluded. Some that I look up are clear; they have names such as "crawl-66-249-68-141.googlebot.com"
thanks again
