Dear Piwigo,

My image quality has some what reduced since the latest upgrade. My images where slightly more in high definition to what they are now. How can i get my images to the same qualty as they once where.

Many thanks

Jamie

Re: Photo Quality

Hi Jamie,

As I have already asked you on Piwigo.com Support, please show a non destructive (PNG) screenshot of what you see now that you are running Piwigo 2.4. As far as I can see, the image quality is fine, compared to the quality of the original photos.

Re: Photo Quality

Dear Piwigo,

Here is an example of the type of sharpness i oringinaly had before this upgrade. This is a picture from a friends gallery..

Here is what i have now from this new upgrade

There is a huge difference in picture quality.

Thankyou

Jamie

Re: Photo Quality

Jamie,
From the 2 links you gave your pictures appear sharper and brighter than your friends.

Am I missing something??

Re: Photo Quality

Dear Piwigo,

The second link containing my image, for example before this upgrade you could clearly see the number on the front end of the locomotive in the photo. Now its just a black blur.
My friends image, which is the first link clearly shows the number and is easily readable. This was how all my images where like.
Thankyou

Jamie

Re: Photo Quality

The only number I see on the front of your friends train is 033, and on yours I can clearly see a number in a similar place which is clearly shown as 60017 - I have attached a screen shot of your image as seen in my browser.
I cannot see what your problem is - perhaps you could post a screen shot of what you are seeing in your browser so the developers know what you are referring to.

Moreover , on the first one the light come from the face of the train whereas for the second train the light comes from the side, so the face is under-exposed

Re: Photo Quality

on my browser i cant see the number 60017 it comes up as a smudged black mark. What is the maximum pixels for the best pictre quality. Will changing the photo size help to make the picture sharper on my browser.

Many thanks :)

Jamie
