How to upload .mov file in version 2.4.4

Hi Forum!

I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm trying to upload .mov files to my Piwigo, using the latests version being 2.4.4.  I already checked, and Charlie's Player doesn't work for this version of Piwigo - what are my other options?  I can't seem to find any additional plugins that would fix my problem.

Thanks!  I'm not too good at this stuff and still learning :)

I am also interested in this implementation.  Looks like Charlies' Content would have worked for me (http://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=119), but is incompatible with 2.4.4.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: How to upload .mov file in version 2.4.4

I have tested this with Piwigo v2.4.4, and although there are no error messages in the plugin configuration pages or in the gallery pages, I do have problems.

The plugin works with files such as PDF, but for video files (.mp4) I cannot get them to play well in the various players.

The flvstreamer option has various problems, for example with buffering - if you use full screen whilst still downloading the file the download stops and will not restart.
The Quicktime option does not size the window in accordance with the size set in the configuration panel.

I tried unticking the movie file extensions and installed jplayer to use with video, using Charlies to play pdf and mp3, but this did not work as this caused errors and would not load anything in the page except an error
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class getID3 in /home/domain/piwigo/plugins/piwigo-jplayer/include/getid3/getid3.php on line 78

Any suggestions for any fixes would be appreciated.

Re: How to upload .mov file in version 2.4.4

This now appears to be broken for pdf files too (In Piwigo V2.4.5) as the following error appears when trying to open ANY file (including pdf).
-----------------------------------
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class getID3 in /home2/webi8726/public_html/photosdemo/plugins/charlies_content/getid3/getid3/getid3.php on line 19

it's an extension issue : Piwigo doesn't use getID3
You're using two plugins for the same thing

Ahh - just noticed that the although I disabled video files in 'charlies content' plugin (I want to use the better player in jplayer for video/sound), when the configuration is saved it ignores changes and reverts to default - so the plugin still does not work with Piwigo V2.4+ so back to jplayer and no way to display pdf again :-(

I've  spotted this issue some time ago and there is a possible workaround on the page https://github.com/d-matt/piwigo-jplaye … known-bugs

Re: How to upload .mov file in version 2.4.4

Thanks D-matt.
Your fix now allows me to run both 'Charlies Content' and 'JPlayer' together.

However I still have the problem that 'Charlies Content' is the default plugin used by Piwigo to play (for example) mp4 files.
The plugin ignores any changes such as the de-selection of mp4 in all players. When I save the changes, the changes are ignored and the ticks are replaced in the boxes.

Do you have this issue??

NOTE: I can get over it by manually deleting 'mp4' from the file types listed in the 'charlies_config' file, but this is not ideal.
