Hi, I am not a PHP wizz, but I am looking for an image gallery that is reasonably easy to modify.

Could someone familiar with Piwigo tell me if the following is possible without extensive knowledge of PHP.

I would like to build an image gallery of artists, which when a user click on an image the link is not a full size version of the image clicked but a page with more details about the artist and other images by the artist. I would also like to be able click on forward and back buttons to navigate to pages for other artist.

I know nothing about PHP so cant answer your actual question, but you could look at using the plugins 'Additional pages' and 'Linked pages' which would give you something close - I use them to give info about an album/event

Hello that sounds very interesting!
Check our doc and also http://piwigo.org/dev .There is a list of triggers in the tool repertory of any Piwigo install.
we can help you. I recommend to check what have already been done and PHP tutorials. I've learnt PHP with Piwigo ;-)
