AutoSize loading loop

Hi all,

I seem to have an issue on a specific host with AutoSize-plugin. I've already reinstalled piwigo to see if that does the trick and I'm not sure why it fails on this particular installation.

Issue;
Browsing albums is fine, but as soon as I click a picture the screen gets stuck in an unlimited loop of displaying 'please wait, loading'. It never reaches the image.
- When autosize is turned on (with whatever settings in the plugin, doesn't seem to matter)
- Other plugins turned on or off (doesn't seem to matter)
- Other themes (doesn't seem to matter)

I did play with the cl_debug on the URI and as far as I can now see
- Firefox does not have the issue (for some reason)
- Chrome and Safari do have the issue

From there I do find that the COOKIE is not fully containing all the information (like the deriv etc. are missing).

If anybody has an idea as to why it's greatly appreciated!

Re: AutoSize loading loop

Hello
thanks for sharing and great debug
I notify the author that its plugin fail on WebKit rendering engines
If I remember well, the "please wait, loading" landing page is to calculate the browser windows size etc and set the cookie/session information.

Re: AutoSize loading loop

Hi cljosse,

I did update but it doesn't seem to work right away, can't debug right now but I'll test tonight what's happening with it. It does show 3.0.4 but maybe it's some more cookie clearing etc.

The webkit-based browsers have the cookie settings applied as you did show in your screenshots

Cheers and thanks for the quick response,

Tom

Hi.
I do not think that will be useful.
New online version(3.0.5) which I hope will be the good one.

Thank you for these information feedbacks

Re: AutoSize loading loop

Good.

But a problem remains: the use " thumb " and "square" in the limits of the size by  user's type, the best is to use "2small" for the minimal size.

I shall correct later, on the occasion of another modification.

Re: AutoSize loading loop

Not sure if this has been resolved or not, but I am seeing this exact issue.

Seems to work fine for me, but once another user logged in and started looking I got the same error

reloading with error:

(This is with php errors turned on obviously, without this the page just reloads constantly)

I noticed after disabling the plugin, the issue goes away. Re-enabling brings the problem back. The only way to "temporarily" fix the issue is to delete and reinstall the plugin which leads me to think something local is being modified?

Any ideas on this? I'd love to turn this plugin back on, but cant until this is resolved :(

I would not wait for an update, [extension by plg] Automatic Size works perfectly and is really lighter
