I've checked the code source of UAM to try solve [Bugtracker] ticket 2830 but I don't found anything wrong. So I redo tests with my offline gallery and the link for quick validation works fine. I tried it again on my online galleries with the same result.

I'm not sure anymore it a bug of the plugin. Please, could I have webmaster access on your gallery to perform test again?

I confirm that the quick validation link works perfectly on your gallery. If I register a test user, I (as an admin) received the validation link. When I click this link with or without being connected to the gallery, the new user is validated.

The workflow of your configuration is:
1/ A user registered the gallery and have instant access (because you didn't set any user groups or status for restriction nor rejecting unvalidated registrations.
2/ Admins received first notification by Piwigo about a new registration
3/ Admins received a second email with a validation to permit a quick validation from them
4/ The first admin user who checked the validation link gets the message that confirmed the good way of it
5/ If other admins (or the same first one) click on the link and target user is already validated, they'll see a red warning box "Your activation key is incorrect or expired or you have already validated your account, please contact the webmaster to fix this problem." (text displayed is customizable)
And that's all... ;-)

Please, can you check and confirm on your side? If all is OK, I'll close the issue.

It looks like the setting in UserAdvManager has changed. I activated Validation via Admin.

Who made the German translation? This was done with Google translate or something else.
It is a very foolish translation you understand nothing.

I will try to change and improve the translation, but it looks like there is a lot of text for this plugin.

Well, I'm guilty... I made the first, initial, german translation the best as I can. Not with google translate (May be I still had to) German is my mother's language but I've certainly serious deficiencies because of lack of practice. As you see, I'm now much better in english than in german. The great displeasure of my mother... (Sorry mum' ! ^_^)

Some other german translators have begin to fix some sentences but, as you said, there is a lot of text to translate. Hard work if you don't use / know the plugin.

No. The validation text can be freely modified in UAM settings. This is a default text set automatically at plugin installation because the main use is to let users validate themselves their registration.
If you choose that admins only have to validate the registrations, this default text can and should be adapted.

I don't remember anything about restrictions on pictures uploads in UAM...

Really, I never noticed any new validation email to admin when user changed his password during my tests on your gallery. Are you sure you changed *only* the password? Where did you do that? On user's profile page?
This is very unusual and I can not reproduce despite many trials. You should certainly make a very special handling.
