I'm running piwigo-2.4.4 on ubuntu server 12.04 and the android app, when I try to upload a picture from the phone I get the following:

Error

An error has occured
Error 3: Connection error

I don't see any errors in the apache error logs

Can someone point me in the right direction?

The one in the plsy store, I thought it was an official app.

yes but there is serveral app so just to be sure we are talking about the same thing
I notify the dev, but you know you can also contact the dev directly with the link on the Play store

BTW did you enter the id/pwd of your account admin? are you successfully connected using a web browser?

Are you using HTTPS ?

If yes, make sure that you have the CA certificates on your phone.

To add certificates on Android 4.1, place the missing CA certificates or self signed certs on the phone drive and go to Settings > Security > Credential storage > Install from storage.

NOTE: I had the following problem :

1. Setup piwigo app -> OK can access and select my albums.
2. Try to upload any picture -> NOTOK -> "Error 3: Connection error"
