The showcase currently contains 388 Piwigo galleries. We also have 538 pending galleries. Some of them have been waiting for 18 months. I don't validate galleries in the registration order.
My main problem is all the manual work. We need a 650x420 (that's just the ratio) screenshot and then I edit name, description, tags. I'm OK to keep doing name/description/tags manually, but the screenshot is just too much work.
I was not in favor of it at the beginning of showcase, but today I don't see any other choice: we need to automate the screenshot.
* do you know PHP/JS tools to take screenshots?
* with such tools, is it possible to keep the 650x420 ratio?

just a thing
with the derivativ sizes, is it still important to keep exactly that ratio?

multiple sizes is not related to ratio.
I wanted all screenshots to have the same ratio to have a clean display. If screenshots all have a specific ratio, it gives a feeling of dirty design in my opinion.

I was thinking about cropping to that size. But of course original ratio shouldn't change too much

OK, I think I understand what you mean. We could use a crop factor on "thumbnail" size. That's probably a good idea!

mShots implemented. It makes things much simpler :-)
